Vermiculite is an expanded clay mineral that is often used to retain moisture in soil. It also allows for better drainage. Use carefully – too much and your media will be soaked, too little and it will be too dry. This is a wonderful growing media for hydroponic tubular and bulb type plants such as carrots, onions, radishes, and any other types that need at least 12'' of depth for proper growth. A very useful product that allows you to control the moisture of your media very well. Ships as oversized. Ship weight is not actual product weight. |
